Overview

Why GIS-Enabled Field Surveys?

Traditional survey workflows — paper forms, manual data entry, delayed compilation — introduce errors and delays that cost governments time and money. A survey completed in the field takes weeks to become usable data.

Replete replaces this with mobile GIS data collection: field officers use GPS-enabled devices to capture attribute data directly on a live map. Data is validated in the field, synced to a central database in real time, and immediately available for analysis and dashboards.

We have run GIS field surveys for housing estate inventories, power network mapping, tribal land surveys, and urban infrastructure audits across multiple Indian states.

  • Fully digital — no paper forms, no manual re-entry
  • GPS accuracy to sub-metre for critical spatial work
  • Custom survey forms designed for each project type
  • Real-time sync to central GIS database
  • Built-in validation rules to catch errors in the field
  • Works offline — syncs when connectivity is available
  • Integrates with aerial and satellite imagery for reference

Capabilities

What We Deliver

Every capability is built from real project experience with Indian government bodies.

Custom Survey Design
We design digital survey forms tailored to your project — property surveys, network surveys, land surveys, condition assessments.
Mobile GIS Deployment
Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, QGIS mobile — we deploy the right tool for your team's devices, connectivity, and data requirements.
Field Team Training
We train field officers, supervisors, and administrators — ensuring your team can operate independently after handover.
Real-Time Quality Control
Supervisors monitor survey progress on a live map — identifying gaps, errors, and missed areas before the team leaves the field.
Data Processing & QA
After collection, we clean, validate, and structure survey data — ready for integration into your GIS database or enterprise system.
Integration & Dashboards
Survey data flows directly into GIS dashboards — giving decision-makers live visibility as data comes in from the field.
How We Work

Our Delivery Process

A structured process built around the realities of government project delivery in India.

01
Survey Design
Define scope, geography, data requirements, and survey form structure — tailored to your specific project.
02
Tool Setup & Training
Deploy mobile GIS tools, configure offline maps, and train field teams and supervisors.
03
Field Data Collection
Teams survey in the field with GPS-enabled devices — data syncs to central database in real time.
04
QA & Delivery
Data is validated, cleaned, and delivered as a structured GIS dataset ready for integration and analysis.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What devices do field officers use?
We configure surveys for Android smartphones and tablets — devices your team may already own. We can also recommend and supply GPS-grade devices for higher accuracy work.
What happens when there's no internet connectivity?
All tools work fully offline. Data is stored on the device and synced automatically when connectivity is restored.
How accurate is the GPS data?
Standard Android GPS gives 3–5m accuracy. For cadastral-grade work, we deploy GNSS receivers giving sub-metre or centimetre accuracy.
How long does a large-scale survey take?
A typical city-wide asset survey (50,000–1,00,000 features) takes 3–9 months depending on team size and feature density.
Do you handle the field team, or do we?
Either. We can deploy and manage our own trained survey teams, work with your existing field staff, or use a hybrid approach.
What data format is the output in?
GIS formats (shapefile, GeoJSON, geodatabase), plus Excel/CSV summaries. We deliver in whatever format your downstream systems require.
